The Government of Jharkhand on October 14, 2024, issued a notification regarding the minimum wage revision.
The revised/determined average index based on the period January 2023 to June 2023 is 386 points and the Increase in CPI is 16 points.
The document includes the classification of 90 Scheduled Employment (including Piece Rate Employment) some of them are-
•Employment in Shops selling cooked foodstuff
•Employment in Khand Sari Industry
•Employment in Petrol & Diesel Pumps
•Employment in shops establishments or industries other than that covered under any of the other entries in this schedule
•Employment in Hotels, Eating Houses & Restaurants
•Employment in Cinema Industry
•Employment in Mess, Canteen & Clubs
•Employment in sales promotion (Conditions of Service) Act, 1976.
•Employment in Nam Construction & Irrigation
•Employment in Khadi & Village Industry
•Employment in Mica Works (Factories &Estd. excluding Mines)
•Employment in Handloom Industries
•Employment in Co-operative sector
•Employment in Hosieries Manufacturing
•Employment in Woodwork & Furniture
•Employment in Any woolen carpet-making and shawl-weaving establishments
•Employment Construction in or Maintenance of Road or building construction
Minimum wages for category A and B areas will be applicable from October 01, 2024, for Unskilled, Semi-Skilled, Skilled, and Highly-Skilled.
