The Government of Uttar Pradesh on October 16, 2024, issued a notification regarding Variable dearness allowance payable to workers employed in the hotel and restaurant industry.
The following has been stated: -
•Effective from October 01, 2024, to March 31, 2025, employees will receive VDA based on the All India Consumer Price Index (2001=100).
The calculation is: (402-239) x monthly wage.
•For example, an employee earning ₹6,350/month will receive ₹4,330.75 as VDA, in addition to their basic wage.
