The National Medical Commission (NMC) on October 10, 2024, issued additional clarification on CBME Guideline, 2024 published on September 12, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Page 112, volume II under the category- Psychiatry (CODE: PS) Title of Section 9 may be read as “Psychosexual disorders and Sexual orientation, gender identity and expression”.
• Volume 1 page number 83 in Physiology (CODE: PY) Competency PY 9.1 to be read as “Explain sex determination, sex differentiation, and their physiological alterations and discuss the effects of removal of gonads on physiological functions.”
• Volume II Page 90 - Pediatrics Competency PE6.4 may be read as “Describe adolescent sexuality, diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity”.
