The National Payments Corporation of India, (NPCI) on October 21, 2024, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Bharat Connect QR Implementation for New Customer Acquisition on Bharat Connect.
Bharat Connect QR to help billers convert offline collections into digital payments. Using a "Scan, Fetch, and Pay" model, customers can scan a QR code to fetch and pay their latest bill through an app. To ensure smooth bill payments, all BBPS-enabled front-end apps must integrate QR code scanning functionality.
COUs and AIs are required to integrate with Bharat Connect QR by November 15, 2024, with technical details provided in the annexures. Failure to implement the solution could result in transaction failures and negatively impact customer experience.
