The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on October 21, 2204, issued a notification regarding the "Unframed Glass Mirror" falling under tariff item 7009 91 00 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
It is stated that the "Unframed Glass Mirror" originating in, or exported from the People’s Republic of China and imported into India, the designated authority in its final findings vide notification F. No.06/12/2023-DGTR dated the 23rd July 2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1, has come to the conclusion that the,-
• dumping margin for the subject goods from the subject country is positive and significant;
• domestic industry has suffered material injury;
• material injury to the domestic industry has been caused by the dumped imports from the subject country,
and has recommended the imposition of an anti-dumping duty on the imports of subject goods, originating in, or exported from the subject country and imported into India, in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.
The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be levied for a period of five years (unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier) from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette i.e., October 21, 2024 and shall be payable in Indian currency.
