The University Grants Commission, (UGC) on October 21, 2024, notified the Draft Guidelines for Institutional Leadership Development Programmes for Higher Education Institutions.
Academic leadership is crucial for an institution to fulfil its mission and ensure successful student outcomes, equipping them for the modern workforce.
To support effective decision-making, leadership skills, and capacity-building, the UGC has developed draft Guidelines for "Institutional Leadership Development Programmes for Higher Education Institutions." These guidelines aim to guide institutions in effectively empowering faculty members to take on leadership roles. Feedback and suggestions on the draft guidelines (attached) are invited from all stakeholders via email by November 21, 2024 (midnight).
