The General Administration & Protocol, Govt. of Lakshadweep on October 17, 2024, issued the list of holidays for the year 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It provides the list of Closed Holidays annexed in Annexure I and the list of Restricted Holidays annexed in Annexure II for Lakshadweep Administration during the year 2025.
• It states that in addition to closed Holidays, each employee will also be allowed to avail himself/herself of any two holidays to be chosen by him/her out of the list of Restricted Holidays.
• It also states that any change in the date of Holidays in respect of Idul Fitr, Idul Zuha (Bakrid), Muharram, and Milad-Un-Nabi (Birthday of the prophet Mohammed), if necessary, will be declared depending upon the sighting of the moon.
