The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on October 23, 2024, issued a draft revision to Civil Aviation Requirements under Section 9 – Air Space And Air Navigation Services Standards Series 'C' Part I Issue III.
The following has been stated: -
•Article 12 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation mandates that all aircraft, regardless of nationality, must comply with the rules governing flight within a State's territory.
•Contracting States are required to align their regulations with those established under the Convention and ensure violations are prosecuted.
•ICAO Annex 2 outlines the necessary standards for these rules.
•This CAR, issued under Rule 16 and Rule 133A of the Aircraft Rules, 1937, applies to all aviation stakeholders in India.
•Comments are invited by November 22, 2024, on Draft Revision to CAR.
