The Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR) on October 17, 2024, issued a notification regarding Masking KYC Identifier in CKYCRR.
The following has been stated: -
•To enhance data security, the KYC identifier will be masked in CKYCRR responses, and a unique CKYC reference ID will be provided for each KYC record.
•Registered reporting entities (REs) can still download KYC records using either the KYC identifier or the CKYC reference ID.
•These changes will affect search and download requests, as well as upload responses, and will go live on December 15, 2024.
•REs are advised to prepare their systems accordingly, with relevant documents available for reference in the document below.
