The Government of Maharashtra on October 24, 2024, notified regarding the holiday on polling day for Vidhan Sabha General Election-2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or other establishment entitled to vote for Vidhan Sabha General Election-2024 shall be granted a paid holiday on November 20, 2024.
• It also states that employees are entitled to at least two hours of paid leave to vote if they do not have sufficient time outside of working hours.
