The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on October 23, 2024, isused a Draft Revision to CAR Section 9 Series E Part I ISSUE III - Air Traffic Services.
It is stated that the Article 28 (Air navigation facilities and standard systems) of the Convention on International Civil Aviation requires each contracting State to provide, in its territory, airports, radio services, meteorological services and other air navigation facilities to facilitate international air navigation, in accordance with the standards and practices recommended or established from time to time, pursuant to this Convention.
The ICAO Annex 11 provides the Standards pertaining to the Air Traffic Services which are required to be adopted by the Contracting State.
The CAR is applicable to all Air Navigation Service Providers engaged in the provision of Air Navigation Services in India and for the navigation of aircraft flying in or over India or of aircraft registered in India.
