The University Grants Commission (UGC) on October 23, 2024, notified regarding the misuse of the name and logo of UGC for wrongful gains.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the unauthorized use/misuse of the Logo of UGC is misleading to confusion amongst the students and other stakeholders who are enrolling in various courses/ programmes being offered by Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs).
• It requests all the HEIs/ students/ concerned stakeholders to exercise caution while dealing with unauthorized persons/institutions/organizations attempting to misuse the name and logo of UGC for wrongful gains.
