The Ministry of Communications (MoC) on September 09, 2024, issued the Additional Guidelines for issuing Experimental and Demonstration Licenses.
The following has been stated:
• Experimental Licenses (Radiating Category)
Timelines:
o The WPC Wing shall send the communication seeking inter-ministerial comments, wherever needed, within7 days from the date of receipt of complete application.
o A provisional license shall be granted on completion of 60 days from the date of seeking of inter-ministerial comments, if the comments are not received within the above period.
• Demonstration Licenses:
Timelines:
o Demonstration License (Radiating) not requiring Inter-ministerial consultation - The licenses under this category shall be deemed to be granted on completion of 15 days from the date of receipt of correct and complete application, if the decision is not conveyed to the applicant within above period. Any deficiency observed in the application shall be conveyed to the applicant not later than 7 days from the date of receipt of application.
