The following has been stated: -
•Kerala has implemented biometric-based Aadhaar authentication for GST registration as of October 8, 2024, to combat tax evasion linked to fake registrations.
•This process involves OTP-based or biometric verification at GST Suvidha Kendras (GSK) after applicants submit Form GST REG-01.
•Applicants must book an appointment and bring necessary documents, including their Aadhaar and PAN cards.
•The initiative aims to reduce fraudulent activities, following successful implementations in other states.
