The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on October 28, 2024, notified regarding an amendment in the SION E-125 for the export of Shea Stearine.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that for every 1% increase in oil content above 46%, import quantity shall decrease by 150 kg; for every 1% decrease below 44%, it shall increase by 150 kg.
• It further clarifies that the Customs Authority shall draw samples of Shea Nuts for oil content testing and endorse the results on the Bill of Entry, allowing import clearance to proceed after customs examination and sample collection without waiting for test results.
