The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, (MoEFCC) on October 25, 2024, notified the Biological Diversity Rules, 2024.

The following has been stated-

•Measures for monitoring and regulating the use in India of biological resource or associated traditional knowledge obtained from any foreign country.

•Procedure for obtaining a certificate of origin for cultivated medicinal plants.

•Procedure for conducting non-commercial research or research for emergency purposes outside India by Indian researcher or institution.
