The Government of Manipur on August 21, 2024, notified regarding the Policy for use of Handloom and Handicrafts products in Government Offices & Establishments Schools, Colleges, Universities, and Hotels in Manipur.
The following has been stated:
• All Departments and Establishment including Public Sector Undertakings, Commission, etc. under the State Government shall procure the products from the recently launched catalogue by the honorable Chief Minister, Manipur as per their requirement from the Manipur Handlooms & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (MHHDC), Imphal as per budget provision under Object Head: 13-Office Expenditure/Relevant Head of Account of the respective Department/Offices A copy of the recently launched Catalogue by Hon'ble Chief Minister, Manipur on 11/07/2024 "Vocal for Local- Craftsman's Corner" is attached (Annexure-II) for reference of products.
