The Government of Kerala on October 29, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Order Issued on the Use of Firecrackers.
The following has been stated namely: -
• An order has been issued prohibiting the use of noise-making firecrackers within a 100-meter radius of silent zones, including hospitals, courts, educational institutions, and places of worship, during Diwali celebrations.
• Only eco-friendly, green firecrackers are permitted for sale and use. Firecracker use is restricted to specific hours: from 8 pm to 10 pm during Diwali, and from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
