This restriction coincides with polling and vote counting days for the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha General Election 2024.

During this period, individuals may possess a limited quantity of liquor without a permit:

Indian/foreign liquor: Up to three quart bottles (excluding beer) and six bottles of 650 ml beer.

Country liquor: Up to three quart bottles.

This notification is effective only for the specified dates and area near the Maharashtra border.
