The Directorate General of Foreign Trade, (DGFT) on November 01, 2024, issued a notification regarding Further abeyance of Public Notice No. 05/2024 dated May 27, 2024, until December 31, 2024.
Public Notice No. 05/2024, issued on 27.05.2024, regarding the modification of wastage norms and Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for Gold, Platinum, and Silver content in export items, has been repeatedly postponed due to representations from the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). The notice has now been placed in abeyance until 31 December 2024. The previous wastage norms and SIONs (MI to M7) under the Handbook of Procedures 2023 are restored in the interim.
