The University Grants Commission (UGC) on October 24, 2024, issued a notification regarding Arrears of Post-Doctoral/Doctoral fellowships.
The following has been stated: -
•The UGC has extended the last date for claiming pending dues (fellowship, house rent allowance, contingency) to January 08, 2025, via the Scholarship Fellowship Management Portal (SFMP).
•No exception requests for scholars who joined JRF before December 31, 2018, will be entertained after December 31, 2024.
•The option to apply for exceptions will be removed from SFMP after January 01, 2025. Stakeholders are urged to claim their dues by the extended deadline.
