The Government of Uttar Pradesh on July 05, 2024, notified the Uttar Pradesh Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2009.
They shall apply to all buildings or other construction works relating to any establishment throughout the State of Uttar Pradesh except those in relation to which appropriate Government is the Central Government Under the Act.
Amendment of rule 263 for sub-rule (3) of rule 263 shall be substituted with The Board may, with the prior concurrence of the State Government, appoint such an officer as the Secretary of the Board who shall be an officer of the rank of Special Secretary of the Indian Administrative Service.
