The Government of Jharkhand on October 15, 2024, notified the Jharkhand Mineral Bearing Land Cess Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated-
•These rules shall apply to all minerals-bearing lands as defined in the Jharkhand Mineral Bearing Land Cess Act 2024.
•The holder shall be deemed registered under the Act where they have been already granted mineral rights over mineral-bearing land.
•For all or any such provisions or rules not prescribed in these Rules; the prescribed Rules under such other Mineral Rules applicable in the State of Jharkhand; shall be applicable in these Rules also.
