The National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) on November 05, 2024, issued a circular regarding the changes in Digital Signing using the Dongle DSC.
To facilitate digitally signing JSON/CSV/ZIP/Pipe Delimited files using the Dongle DSC, NeSL has been offering a signature utility that works with the help of a third-party utility, "nCode." "nCode" is an executable software that needs to be installed on the client machine where the Dongle DSC-based signature is to be carried out.
Effective November 6, 2024, NeSL will transition to a new utility, "emBridge," for Dongle DSC-based e-Signing. Similar to "nCode," "emBridge" needs to be installed on the client machine where the Dongle DSC-based signing is performed. This utility has the benefit of being platform-independent, and capable of running on any operating system.
Please note that the "nCode" utility will be discontinued and will no longer be functional after November 6, 2024. To avoid operational issues, you are advised to take necessary steps for a smooth transition.
