The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 06, 2024, issued a circular regarding the amendment to Regulations.
The following has been stated: -
•The amendments to the NSE Clearing Regulations align with SEBI's circular on direct pay-out of securities to client demat accounts.
•Regulation 6.14.2 now mandates that securities received by a clearing member for clients be directly delivered to clients' demat accounts on the pay-out day, as per the Clearing Corporation's instructions.
•Regulation 14.6 specifies that the Clearing Corporation's instructions to the Specified Depository for debits and credits in depository deals must be followed, with such instructions considered irrevocable and confirmed. The changes take effect on November 11, 2024.
