The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on November 08, 2024, issued the Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 126,-
o for words and brackets “.....or the Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Hissar (for testing of combine harvester).....” the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“.....or the Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Hissar (for testing of combine harvester & agricultural tractor)....."
o After the words and brackets “.....or the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX), Indore.....” the following shall be inserted, namely:-
“.....or the Southern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Anantapur (for testing of power tiller).....”
Notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of India are made available to the public.
The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the expiry of the period aforesaid will be considered by the Central Government;
