The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on November 07, 2024, notified regarding the Disclosure by Traders/Wholesaler, Retailer, Big Chain Retailer, Processors of Sugar in your state.
The following has been stated:
• It has informed that the prices and availability of sugar in the country has been reviewed and found that the sufficient quantity of sugar is available in the country to meet the domestic demand throughout the year and it has been decided that weekly updation of stock of sugar by traders/dealers/wholesaler/big chain retailers/processors is no longer required. Hence, the same may be stopped with immediate effect.
• It has also informed that the prices, production and availability of sugar in the country will be reviewed periodically and further decision will be taken accordingly.
