The Department of Inland Waterways, Goa on November 07, 2024 issued the Goa Barge Tax (Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Goa Barge Tax Rules, 1975.
The following has been amended namely: -
• Rule 13 which states “Power to issue and detain in case of non-payment of tax” in sub-rule (3), for the words “Rupees five and Rupees ten”, the words “Rupees fifty and Rupees one hundred” shall be substituted.
• Rule 21 which states “Fees for copies” has been substituted namely: -
“The fees to be payable for obtaining any copy from the records maintained under the Act and Rules framed thereunder shall be as specified”
This shall come into force on November 07, 2024.
