The Government of Tamil Nadu on November 06, 2024, issued a notification regarding the declaration of regulation of purchase and sale of the agricultural produces, "Red gram (whole), Black gram (whole), Green gram (whole), Horse gram, Lab and Cowpea" in the notified areas of regulated markets under the control of Erode market committee.
The following has been stated: -
•The Governor of Tamil Nadu has issued a declaration to regulate the marketing of specified agricultural products under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987.
•The regulation applies to the notified market areas of the Erode market committee. This decision follows the prior publication of the intention in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette on December 24, 2008.
