The Government of Madhya Pradesh on November 08, 2024, issued a notification regarding payment of the difference in salary amount to the daily wage employees working in the Water Resources Department as a result of being classified as permanent.
The following has been stated: -
•Contempt petitions regarding salary differences for daily wage employees in the Water Resources Department of Madhya Pradesh have been filed in the High Court. Payment of the salary difference (without pay hike) and dearness allowance will be processed based on the October 16, 2024, order, subject to conditions such as verification by the Chief Engineer and Treasury Department.
•The payment will cover the period from the permanent classification date to August 31, 2016, or the date of retirement, whichever is earlier. A bond must be obtained from each employee to ensure recovery of any excess payment made.
