The Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) on November 11, 2024, issued a circular regarding a settlement Holiday on account of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly General Election.
The following has been stated: -
•Due to Maharashtra State Assembly Elections on November 20, 2024, banks will not provide clearing services, and there will be no settlement activities on that day.
•Pay-in obligations for November 19, 2024, will be blocked on November 20, 2024.
•Settlement for both November 19 and 20 will occur on November 21, 2024.
•Clearing Members are advised to maintain sufficient margins for uninterrupted trading.
