EHS ComplianceThe Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) on November 11, 2024, notified regarding the Liquidation of large fleet of End-of-Life vehicles from NCR.

The following has been stated:

• Launch/intensify drives against EoL vehicles

• Consider adopting innovative technological systems like installation of Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera systems at fueling stations or at prominent locations under their jurisdiction and integrate these with VAHAN database, through which registration details of the vehicles can be captured and displayed automatically, which enable the authorities concerned to take action against such EoL vehicles.

• Take appropriate action towards liquidation of large fleet of End-of-Life vehicles and their further disposal including scrapping in accordance with RVSF Rules, 2O21 and other extant policies of the respective State Governments and the GNCTD.

• Report the results of such liquidation on a monthly basis to the Commission.
