The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on November 12, 2024, issued instructions regarding General ways of identification of the Low Voltage Switchgear and Control gear under EEQCO as per the phased implementation plan.
The following has been stated: -
•The Ministry of Heavy Industries has issued the Electrical Equipment Quality Control Order (EEQCO), 2020, for Low Voltage Switchgear, with the first phase effective from November 10, 2024.
•An attached document (Appendix A) outlines the general identification methods for these products as per the phased implementation plan.
•It is requested to inform and sensitize relevant officers about this requirement for prompt compliance.
