Finance & Taxation Compliance The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on November 13, 2024, amended an older notification No. 50/2017-Customs, dated June 30, 2017, related to rates of customs duty for goods imported into India.

The following has been stated: -

•In the notification, in the ANNEXURE, in Condition No. 48, in Condition (d), after the words, ‘Central Government for this purpose’, the words “or directly either to armed forces of the Union under the Ministry of Defence or Government Departments” shall be inserted.

This notification shall come into force from November 14, 2024.
