The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on November 11, 2024, issued the Agra Cantonment Board Solid Waste Management Bye-laws, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Segregation and Primary Storage of Solid Waste have been stated under Chapter II of the Bye-laws
• The Collection and Secondary Storage of Solid waste have been stated in the bye-laws.
• The transportation, Processing, and disposal of Solid wastes have been stated.
• There shall be a user fee fixed for providing services for garbage collection, transportation and disposal from waste generators by the Board.
• Whosoever contravenes or fails to comply with any of the provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 or these bye-laws shall be imposed with penalty as specified in the Second Schedule.
