The UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu on November 08, 2024, issued a notification regarding Cyber Security Awareness.
The following has been stated: -
•The UT has launched a Cyber Security Awareness Booklet to educate citizens on safe and secure digital practices, targeting both adults and children.
•Developed with guidance from CERT-In and I4C, the booklet offers tips on avoiding cyber threats such as phishing, vishing, malware, and social media fraud.
•This initiative aims to protect user privacy and data from increasing online threats. It is part of the Cyber Swachhta Kendra (CSK) initiative, emphasizing the importance of cybersecurity in the digital age.
•At earlier times, only computer viruses were a problem but now we have antivirus software to protect us from them. But now cyber threats have grown large and advanced which is becoming dangerous to all of us. Malware, phishing, DDoS attacks, data breaches, and fraudulent emails are some common examples of where we trap ourselves and become victims.
