The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (MoPPG&P) on July 09, 2024, issued the list of holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that holidays listed in Annexure-I are to be observed in all the Administrative Offices of the Central Government located in Delhi/New Delhi.
• It states that employees can choose two holidays from Restricted Holidays in Annexure-II.
• It states that the offices outside Delhi must observe three compulsory holidays plus three from a list of 12 optional holidays.
• It further states that the changes in holiday dates for certain festivals may occur based on moon sightings.
