The Ministry of Chemicals And Fertilizers (MoC&F) on November 14, 2024, issued the H Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
The following has been stated:
• Application:
It shall apply to goods or article specified in the Schedule annexed to this Order and shall not apply to such goods or article meant for export.
• Conformity to standard and compulsory use of Standard Mark:
The Goods or article specified in the said Schedule shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard specified in the said Schedule and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
• Certifying and enforcement authority:
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the goods or article specified in the said Schedule.

This notification will come into force from November 14, 2024.
