The Government of Himachal Pradesh on November 18, 2024, issued Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning (Thirteenth Amendment) Rules, 2024.
Publication of the draft amendments in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh, on September 27, 2024, objections and suggestions were invited as per Section 87(1) of the Act. After due consideration, these objections and suggestions were rejected. Accordingly, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh has approved the amendments under Section 87 of the Act.
The following has been stated-
•In Appendix-1 of the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014 after serial number II table the II (a) Special Commercial Buildings , (1) Enhanced FAR provisions for Special Commercial Buildings including Tourism Units serial number shall be added
•Enhanced FAR provisions for Central Business Districts and Transit Oriented Development Corridors including 4-Lane National Highways, National Highways and State Highways.
•In Appendix-2 of the said rules (a) For the exisitng table at Regulation 3, the table shall be substituted.
•After Regulation 4, the “5. Hostels/Dormitory:- Notwithstanding anything contained any Development Plan/ Interim Development Plan for the time being in force, as applicable in respect of any planning or special area notified under the statutory provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, 1977 construction of Hostels/dormitory facilities in the Industrial Zone shall be allowed and regulations of the same shall be as per the regulations of the concerned Interim Development Plan and Development Plans.” Regulation shall be added.
