The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on November 18, 2024, issued the Kamptee Cantonment Board Solid Waste Management Bye-laws, 2024.
The following provisions have been stated:
• Segregation and storage of solid waste at source
• Collection of solid waste
• Storage of solid waste in the secondary storage points
• Recycling centres for dry waste (Non-biodegradable waste)
• Deposition centre for specified domestic hazardous waste
• Transportation of solid waste
• Processing of solid waste
• Other guidelines for processing of solid waste
• Disposal of Solid waste
• User fee for collection, transportation and disposal of solid waste
• Penalty for contravention
This notification will come into force from November 18, 2024.
