The Government of Puducherry on November 13, 2024, issued a notification regarding the revision in wages for Part Time Casual Labourers employed across various departments.
This revision follows the enhancement of the Dearness Allowance (DA) rate for regular government employees (7th CPC) from 50% to 53%, effective 01.07.2024. The wages for part-time casual labourers have been increased from ₹13,500 to ₹13,770 with effect from the same date.
All departments are instructed to strictly adhere to guidelines outlined in the Office Memorandum No.A.12030/1/98/F3 dated December 17, 1998 regarding the engagement of part-time casual labourers.
