The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on November 20, 2024, notified regarding the disposal of ash and production of PDM.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the production of Ash as a by-product in the sugar mills/distilleries that have installed the incineration boilers has the potential to produce PDM.
• It further states that the government has fixed the model price of PDM at Rs. 4263/Ton.
• It also provides that all the sugar mills shall submit the required information on Ash disposal from Incineration Boilers to the Directorate via email at [email protected] by November 25, 2024.
