The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on November 20, 2024, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Sixteenth Amendment) Order, 2024, to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In Schedule VI, which states “List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions”, against S.No. 90, in column (2) relating to entries 'Coffea spp. and in column (3) relating to entries 'Coffee beans for consumption or processing', the existing entries in column (4) & (5) will be retained and the existing entries in column (6) will be replaced with the following entries as specified in the Table.
This notification will come into force from November 20, 2024.
