The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on November 20, 2024, issued a notification regarding the implementation of a Unified Presentment Management System (UPMS).
The following has been stated: -
•The Unified Presentment Management System (UPMS) aims to streamline bill information management and prevent duplicate payments by proactively sharing bill details with front-end channels at the time of generation and payment.
•The implementation deadline, initially set for September 30, 2024, has been extended to December 31, 2024. UPMS is critical for enhancing customer confidence in bill payments within the Bharat Connect ecosystem.
•All OUs are urged to implement UPMS by the new deadline to ensure uniformity across all platforms.
