The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on November 19, 2024, issued the Ajmer Cantonment Board Solid Waste Management Bye-laws, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Applicability: - These bye-laws shall be applicable within the territorial limits of the Ajmer Cantonment.
• Collection of solid waste:
o In compliance with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, door to door collection of segregated solid waste shall be implemented in all areas or wards of the Board, to collect garbage from every house, including slums and informal settlements on a daily basis by integrating the informal door to door collection system with Boards collection system.
o In order to collect garbage from every house, area-wise specific time slot shall be set and published at conspicuous parts of that area and on the website of the Board.
o The time for house-to-house garbage collection shall be set from 6 am to 11 am.
This shall come into force on November 29, 2024
