The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on November 22, 2024, issued a notification regarding UAN Activation and seeding Bank Account with AADHAAR for availing the benefits under the ELI Scheme.
The following has been stated: -
•The Ministry of Labour & Employment mandates that all eligible employees complete UAN activation and link Aadhaar to their bank accounts for the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme benefits. Employees must activate their UAN via Aadhaar-based OTP and ensure Aadhaar seeding in their bank accounts for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
•Employers must complete this by November 30, 2024, for employees joining in the current financial year.
•EPFO aims to improve accessibility and operational efficiency through its online services.
