Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on November 19, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Clarification in Guidelines for Implementation of PM-Surya Ghar regarding the Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY) for the component "CFA to Residential Consumers”

The following has been stated namely: -

• The CFA support under the Group Housing/RWA segment can be provided to developers/promoters directly, subject to the submission of an undertaking that the rooftop solar asset supported under PMSG: MBY will be handed over to the GHS/RWA/AOAS/ Cooperative Housing Society or any other collective created by residents for overall maintenance, whenever such a collective is created. 

• The developers/promoters have to also submit an undertaking stating that the benefits from the rooftop solar subsidy will be passed on to the residents through reduced charges/tariffs for common facilities. 

• REC may also establish additional documentary requirements to satisfy the guidelines of the scheme and authenticate the subsidy claimant.
