Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on November 26, 2024, issued a notification regarding the PAN 2.0 Project: Streamlining and Modernizing PAN and TAN Services.

The following has been stated: -

•The PAN 2.0 Project, approved by the CCEA on November 25, 2024, aims to streamline and modernize PAN and TAN services by consolidating them into a single, user-friendly portal. 

•This eco-friendly, paperless system will offer services like PAN application, updates, Aadhaar linking, and validation, with enhanced security. Existing PAN holders will not need to apply for a new card unless requesting updates. 

•The project aligns with Digital India initiatives and offers quicker, free processing for PAN-related services.
