The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on November 26, 2024, notified regarding the premature redemption under the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme - Redemption Price for premature redemption due on November 27, 2024 (Series IX of SGB 2017-18).
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states the next due date for Premature redemption of Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB 2017-18 Series IX) issued on November 27, 2017, is November 27, 2024.
• It further states the redemption price for premature redemption of SGB on November 27, 2024, is ₹7,685 per unit, based on the simple average of closing gold prices of 999 purity for November 22, 25, and 26, 2024, as published by IBJA.
