Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on November 27, 2024, issued a notification regarding stabilizing the Retail Prices of Tur and Urad for Assured Procurement under the PM-AASHA Scheme.

The following has been stated: -

•Retail prices of Tur and Urad have either declined or remained stable in the last three months, aided by government measures like the direct sale of pulses under the Bharat Dal brand and targeted distribution of onion at subsidized prices.

•The government has kept the import of Tur, Urad, and Masur under 'Free Category' and zero duty till March 2025 to ensure a stable supply. 

•Additionally, 10.66 lakh farmers have registered for assured procurement under the PM-AASHA scheme. Favorable weather conditions and good crop yields are expected to help moderate pulse prices.
